अन्नं ब्रह्मेति
Food is sacred. So we start with the seed.
The Taittiriya Upanishad treats food as something to honour. We keep that in mind at the mill: choose good seed, press it slowly, and add nothing that does not belong in the bottle.
From seed to bottle
Four steps, in this order. No refining after the press.
Select
Seeds are cleaned and sorted. Damaged or damp seed is set aside before it ever meets the press.
Press
The ghani turns slowly. Pressure brings the oil out, not heat or solvent.
Settle
The oil rests while sediment sinks on its own, then it is filtered gently.
Bottle
Filled and sealed in eco-friendly packaging. Turn the bottle over: the back label carries the ingredients, nutrition and packing details.

Cold pressed or refined?
The difference is in how the oil is taken from the seed.
| LivOil cold pressed | Typical refined oil | |
|---|---|---|
| Extraction | Slow mechanical press | Often high-speed expellers with chemical solvents |
| Processing after | Settled and gently filtered | Bleached, deodorised and degummed |
| Additives | No added chemicals or preservatives | Varies by brand |
| Colour and aroma | Natural, as the seed gives it | Neutral and uniform |
